Lady Barn House School

Year Six – French Trip

Last term Year Six pupils enjoyed an amazing trip to France. Everyone had a wonderful time – putting their French language skills to good use and having a unique opportunity to experience French culture.

Pupils explored  Hardelot, Boulogne sur Mer and Le Touquet. They visited a very posh French chocolaterie, which has its own plantations in South America, they found out how goat’s cheese is made and they encountered lots of farm yard animals!

At the end of the trip the pupils enjoyed a visit to a traditional French boulangerie, where they saw how baguettes and croissants are made and had the opportunity to make their own. They finished with a tasting opportunity – the pain au chocolat was magnifique!

Thank you to Madame Hodkinson, for organising a splendid the trip. Well done to all the pupils who made the most of the experience and represented the School so beautifully. Finally, thank you to the all the dedicated staff who accompanied the groups.

Join us for our springtime OPEN MORNING - Wednesday 11 March - 09:30 to 11:30. No need to book, tours offered throughout the morning. Hope to see you there!
