The Directors of Lady Barn House School are committed to broadening access to the school by offering to eligible parents/guardians means-tested financial support with the payment of schools fees. Such support is known as a bursary and these are normally awarded in the form of a discount of up to 100% on tuition fees payable, depending on the financial circumstances of applicants. Full bursary places currently include all tuition fees, uniform, lunches, PE and games kit, trips and visits. All bursaries are means-tested. The School currently offers bursary places from Year 3 to Year 6.
Bursaries can be applied for by completing the application form available from the school office at any time from the beginning of January through to the 15th of February in preparation for entry in the following September. Once it has been established that the financial circumstances of the applicant are such that a bursary might be offered, the child is invited into school to sit the normal entrance assessment. In assessing a child’s suitability, attention will be given to the academic assessment result of each applicant, but potential will also be considered as well as actual achievement. Bursary funds are limited and those judged most suitable will be given priority as those likely to gain most from the educational provision.
The parents/guardians are advised whether their child is to be offered a place at the School and of the Bursary offer by the end of the spring term.
All bursary awards are subject to annual repeat testing of parental means.
The School respects the confidentiality of bursary awards made to families and recipients are expected to do likewise.
Please contact Admissions (firstname.lastname@example.org) for further information on bursaries.
