Lady Barn House School

Drama

“All the world’s a stage,

And all the men and women merely players.”

As You Like It, William Shakespeare

The Drama Year at Lady Barn is busy and lively. Our fully equipped Drama Studio is where our classes from Year 2 to Year 6 have their weekly Drama lessons. They are always buzzing with activity and interaction.

Building confidence

Drama is an essential part of the Lady Barn ethos. It provides pupils with the opportunity to express themselves creatively and explore more of the world in which they live. As well as engendering understanding, it gives our children opportunities to build confidence and maturity, helping our pupils to learn and develop to their full potential.

Drama Club

The Early Years’ Nativity Play and the Infant Department’s Christmas Shows give our budding thespians a chance to perform for the first time. Further up the school, there are opportunities for older children to take part in Drama Club and to prepare for LAMDA speech examinations.

Performance

Our musical productions, poetry reading competitions and Year Six Leavers’ Evening provide ample opportunity for all of our pupils to participate in a performance at some point during their time with us.
