Lady Barn House School

Nov 2017

  1. Children in Need Day

On Friday, 17th November we will be supporting Children in Need and are inviting all the children to swap one item of uniform for something spotty in return for £2.

Pupils can also wear official Children In Need merchandise. Remember, the charity will also accept the ‘old, round pound’ as donations.’

Thank you, in advance, for your kindness and generosity.

  2. Anti-Bullying Week 2017 – “All Different, All Equal”

Monday 13th to Friday 17th November is ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ – organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance. The theme of the week is to promote difference and equality in schools with the tag-line “All Different, All Equal”. You can follow their activities on social media by using #antibullyingweek and #abw17.

Next week, during assemblies and PSHEE lesson time we will be discussing anti-bullying and what to do if you experience bullying behaviour.

Recently, we held special anti-bullying / good behaviour assemblies. We highlighted Barney’s 3 steps to stop bullying and Barney’s Behaviour Code. Both of these initiatives go hand in hand with our School Council’s ‘Anti-Bullying Charter’ which we launched during last year’s Anti-Bullying Week.

For your information, ‘Anti-Bullying Week’ is also supported by Safetonet  – an online cyber safety resource that offers expert advice and guidance to families. It may well be a useful resource for Lady Barn parents to assist with protecting your family from online harm.

We have now re-opened our doors to all year groups, whilst continuing to provide remote learning alongside our in-school provision. Thank you to our pupils, parents and staff for their support during this unprecedented time. We are still welcoming Admissions enquiries for September 2020 and beyond, via email to Mrs Lachevre: or telephone 0161 359 7241.
