Career Opportunities

Lady Barn House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening. All checks are in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education, checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).  Online searches may be carried out on shortlisted candidates as part of due diligence checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Applicants are therefore required to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are ‘spent’), except those which are ‘protected’ under the DBS filtering rules, in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

Candidates will be required to provide appropriate documentation as evidence of their right to work during the recruitment process, in line with UK Visas and Immigration requirements. Unfortunately, the school is unable to sponsor visa applications.
