An exciting opportunity to be a part something new at Lady Barn House School!

As part of the continued development of our Early Years provision, we are delighted to be opening a new 2+ Nursery, welcoming children aged 2–3 and extending the Lady Barn experience to our youngest children.

To support this exciting development, we are now looking for six exceptional people to form our new Nursery team.

This is a wonderful opportunity to join Lady Barn at the very beginning of something new. Our 2+ Nursery, Little Barn Owls, will build upon the strengths of our existing Early Years provision of Pre-School and Reception, creating a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel happy, secure and confident to explore, play and learn. 

We are looking for people who share our passion for providing children with the very best possible start. Whether joining us in a leadership role or as a Nursery Practitioner, you will be warm, caring and enthusiastic, with a genuine understanding of just how important these formative early years are.

Our Nursery team will work closely together to provide high-quality education and care in line with the EYFS, while developing strong relationships with children and their families. For us, excellent Early Years provision is about much more than what happens in the Nursery room, our youngest children will become part of the wider Lady Barn community and benefit from the facilities, opportunities and experiences available across the School.

Nursery Manager Job Description – 1 position
Full-time | 40 hours per week | All year round
Core hours: 7.30am–4.00pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £40,767–£42,988 per annum
An exciting leadership opportunity to establish, lead and develop our new 2+ Nursery and its team. 

Assistant Nursery Manager Job Description – 1 position
Full-time | 38.75 hours per week | All year round
Core hours: 10.00am–6.15pm, Monday to Friday
Salary: £35,390–£37,318 per annum
A hands-on Early Years leadership role, supporting the Nursery Manager, guiding our Nursery Practitioners and deputising for the Manager when required. 

Nursery Practitioner Job Description – 4 positions
Part-time | All year round
Salary: £26,670–£28,122 FTE, pro rata for part-time

Available working patterns:

• 1 x 31.25 hours – 12.00 noon–6.15pm, Monday to Friday
• 2 x 30 hours – 7.30am–2.00pm, Monday to Friday
• 1 x 21.25 hours – 2.00pm–6.15pm, Monday to Friday

Our Nursery Team will work directly with children aged 2–3, supporting their learning, development and wellbeing and helping to make our new Nursery a very special place to begin their Lady Barn journey. 

All positions are permanent from December 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
