General Assistant

General Assistant - Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, organised and flexible General Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that supports the day-to-day running of the school.

The successful candidate will work alongside teaching and support staff, providing general classroom support, assisting with administration, helping with school events, sports fixtures and after-school clubs, and accompanying educational visits and residential trips.

The role would suit someone who enjoys working with children, is happy to turn their hand to a variety of tasks and enjoys being part of a busy school community.

A childcare qualification is not essential, although experience of working with children would be advantageous.

During school holidays, the successful applicant will support the schools Holiday Club provision, Barney’s Breakout, as a Holiday Club Assistant.

The successful applicant must have an excellent rapport with young children, be committed to the highest standards of educational provision and be in sympathy with the aims and ethos of Lady Barn House School.
