Lady Barn House School

  1. PTA Fundraising Skydive

Barney has decided to join in the skydive with Mrs G and Miss J – He’s been in training already and is looking forward to the day!!

You will have seen from the letter sent out on Friday 8 June that Miss Jennings and Mrs Gibbons have decided to do a parachute jump. Our aim is to raise enough funds to purchase some resources which take learning outside of the classroom. This may take the form of giant outdoor numbers, letters, measuring equipment, construction crates, giant Connect Four and Jenga – really the list is endless but these resources would undoubtedly give the teachers at Lady Barn an opportunity to build upon the natural enthusiasm and interests of all our pupils. Even as children get older this sense of play helps pupils to use their imagination, increase levels of dexterity as well as developing good cognition and emotional strength. . The ‘skydive’ has now been booked for Saturday 30 June 2018 at the Black Knights Parachuting Centre in Lancashire.

So, if you feel able to contribute to this new fundraising initiative we would be very grateful. You can make any donations via the link below and of course, it goes without saying that the ‘skydive’ itself will be photographed for all to see. Obviously you will be able to follow us via the usual social media channels and if you feel like an early morning out in Lancashire you are very welcome to join us.

We have now re-opened our doors to all year groups, whilst continuing to provide remote learning alongside our in-school provision. Thank you to our pupils, parents and staff for their support during this unprecedented time. We are still welcoming Admissions enquiries for September 2020 and beyond, via email to Mrs Lachevre: or telephone 0161 359 7241.
