Friends of Lady Barn

Above all else, Lady Barn’s success is based on the strength of its community and the relationships that exist between parents, staff, pupils and Governors, both past and present.

Friends of Lady Barn is an online community portal for anyone with a connection with the School.

Our active FOLB committee is made up of a dedicated team of staff and parent Members, who organise a variety of social events involving parents, children and staff. The money raised is a valuable supplement to existing school funds and helps to ensure that our children benefit from excellent facilities and resources.

Popular events on the annual social calendar are Quiz & Curry Night, Easter Bingo, the Christmas Fair and the summer Family Fun Day.

I'm a current parent - how can I help?

Becoming a FOLB Member is a wonderful way to make new parent friends at Lady Barn! If you'd like to get involved, please contact the committee via the email below.

We also welcome communication from parents wishing to offer occasional help, as FOLB Volunteers. This is perfect for those who are happy to help for a short time, in a small way (for example, for a particular event), but may not feel able to offer a more formal commitment. All help is greatly appreciated!

Alumni

Our community portal is a place to learn more about the School's 150-year-old history through news articles and photos, as well as being a place to reconnect with old friends.

In May 2023 we held our 150th Anniversary Ball at The Midland Hotel, Manchester; this was a wonderful evening which brought together staff, parents and alumni in celebration of Lady Barn House School.

In April 2024, we will be holding a Gatsby-themed Ball at the beautiful Mottram Hall; tickets will be on sale later this year.
