Is it an automatic entry to Pre School via this route?
It will depend on the availability of spaces, but the idea is that children would naturally progress through into Pre School and then on through the school. As our Pre School is on a different MIS system, although you will not need to apply, we will require you to complete two check lists to ensure that we have the correct information on the new system.
Will there be an opportunity to book ad-hoc sessions?
Yes, subject to availability.
Is there any discount if you have an older sibling attending the school?
Yes, it is 5%
What are the Early Years funding and hour entitlement arrangements?
Parents will be able to apply for the full 2-year-old funding, but please note the arrangements are different to the 3-year-old funding.
Can I pay for term time only?
No, this is a 50 week a year Nursery.
Can I pay fees in advance for the year?
Yes, this is possible. Contact Rachel Best, Assistant Bursar for more details.
Would you consider doing an 8am until 3:30pm session or similar? This is to coincide with the other year groups at Lady Barn to allow pick up and drop offs to be made easier with siblings already attending the school.
With only 15 FTE places it will be difficult to offer anything in addition to the fixed sessions, but you will be able to pick up and drop off at any time within the session times although the cost would remain the same.
Will we be able to swap sessions, or are they fixed?
You won’t be able to swap sessions, but you can book additional ad-hoc sessions, subject to availability.
What is your notice period?
It will be one full calendar month.
When will I know if I have got a place for my child?
We are currently not in a position to accept applications and offer places. We will make parents aware when we are opening for applications, and places will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis.
We would strongly recommend that you do not hand your notice in to your current setting until you have had a place confirmed in writing.
When are you likely to open?
We aim to open in January 2027, and will keep families informed of progress over the coming months.
