Prep 2 had some visitors in school who took them back in time to Ancient Egypt, which was a great way to build on their learning from their Humanities lessons. It was very exciting to learn more about the Ancient Egyptians in such a practical hands-on way.  

Everyone had the opportunity to take part in a Cleopatra dance workshop, as well as Howard’s mummification workshop.  It was fascinating finding out a bit more about Cleopatra, Howard Carter, Tutankhamun and the Valley of the Kings. The Prep 2 children said they loved going back in time in the time machine, pretending to be riding on a camel through the desert and learning the Egyptian dance. It was certainly a fun way to learn about life in Ancient Egypt.
