Last year, our new initiative of introducing Lead Learners in each class across Preps 3 to 5 proved to be a fantastic success! 

Lots of the feedback from pupils has been carefully considered, and planning and lesson delivery has been tweaked in all subjects to accommodate the Pupil Voice, ensuring our teaching and learning is the best it can possibly be for all our pupils. 

This year, we have a brand-new team of Lead Learners, who will work closely with the Prep 6 Subject Captains across the year, sharing feedback from their peers regarding lessons from all areas of the Curriculum; which topics are particularly enjoyed, styles of lesson delivery which really support learning and engagement, and any activities which have a particularly strong impact on learning will be shared. 

Our children are at the very heart of everything we do at Lady Barn, so when we are reviewing our teaching and learning provision, one of the most important groups of people to listen to are the pupils themselves, and our Lead Learners help facilitate these important discussions! 

I’m sure you will agree, we all play a special role in being part of our Lady Barn family and, as teachers, we love making sure we make our days fun, engaging and immersive for all our pupils. With this in mind, I have no doubt our Lead Learners will lead the way and share their love of learning with us all.
