In Prep 4W our school days have been busy…

We have been working hard developing our writing skills looking at balanced arguments.

We explored debates about: -

Whether Banksy is artist or villain?

Are Premiership footballers paid too much?

Is it ever right to lie? We then used our discussions to create a written piece about the main character in our class novel.

Our highlight of this half term has been our Greek Day. We had so much fun finding out about The Ancient Greeks and their legacy. We learned some fascinating facts, dressed up as Greek warriors and explored Greek fashion. We had a go at grinding oats to make flour and etched our names into pottery using the Greek alphabet. We even worked a loom to create a woollen scarf and re-enacted how the Greeks would catch fish. Our day also involved a delicious Greek lunch!

Last week, we enjoyed wearing our Christmas jumpers to raise money for the NSPCC and on Monday, we were visited by some reindeer-Olaf and Jingle.

On No Pens Day, part of our tasks were to take part in a show and tell, bringing in our special items from home and giving a talk about them. Our classmates also asked us questions. We’ve all got more confident participating in this activity, had a break from screen time and really enjoyed seeing each other’s items.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Mrs Wall and Prep 4W.
