This term, Prep 1 have had lots of fun learning all about London! We've been exploring our capital city through the story Katie in London, where Katie and a friendly lion go on an exciting adventure around some of London’s most famous places.

The children have loved writing descriptions of Katie and the lion, using great describing words to make their characters come to life. Katie is curious and full of energy, while the lion is kind and wise. 

We have also been learning about where London is on the map and why it is such an important city. The children have been busy building and labelling their very own models of London, complete with landmarks like Big Ben, the Tower of London, and the London Eye. Our classroom has started to look like a mini London! It has been a fantastic topic, and the children have really enjoyed it, picking up so much new information along the way!
