In Prep 2 Humanities lessons the children are learning about famous people in history. In Drama lessons they are meeting some of those people. Last week they met Florence Nightingale, and she told of how she raised the status of nurses and improved conditions in the hospital where she worked during the Crimean War.  

This week, the children met Mary Seacole, who told them about the racism she faced when she tried to join the team of nurses working in the Crimea. The children learnt how to use improvisation to show some of Mary Seacole’s incredible work.
