In Prep 3 the children have been learning about the Romans in their lessons. As part of their English lesson, the children have written a character description about a Roman centurion. The children had fun making up their own names for their centurion. We then worked on developing our writing skills to write an interesting sentence, using adjectives and adverbs. Here are some of my favourite:

His strong leather sandals rubbed constantly on his cold, tired feet. – Poppy

The fancy, dazzling crest on his helmet waved elegantly in the cold evening breeze. – Aleena

Strong, firm body armour sat on the centurion’s muscular body. – Ibraheem

His strong, spiky sword swung rapidly as he protected his country. - Raaes
