Jigsaw is a child-centred approach, supporting Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Understanding of the World, all which link with our EYFS Curriculum. This helps to give our children the knowledge, fundamental skills and understanding they need to build their confidence and develop healthy and independent lives, whilst providing them with the values to reach their potential as individuals.

Every week the Reception children attend a Jigsaw assembly whereby a key theme is drawn to celebrate another piece of our jigsaw. We make these sessions purposeful, interactive, and fun for all, to support learning. We ensure all children are heard and allow them to share their knowledge, understanding and skills amongst these special times. Additionally, we use stories to show examples of these key themes.

Furthermore, we use this time to celebrate lots of special celebrations, including birthdays and religious celebrations.
