As part of our humanities curriculum, Prep 1 had a fantastic experience day learning about London in 1666 and The Great Fire of London!

We met Daisy who took us back in time to that infamous year and also Samuel Pepys who was very funny! All the children were amazed to find out that he buried his cheese and wine in his garden, in case it was lost in the fire!

A real highlight was to help put out an imaginary fire - we all lined up and passed our buckets of water down to help put it out! Great teamwork was required to ensure the safety of the people of London! Daisy and Mr Pepys were very pleased and thankful that our pupils could help.
