LBHS 2 Hale Prep 3

The LBHS team played their best game of the season so far. Their opponents were very strong, fast and physical. When we coach the players, we always impress on the children to adapt and find a way to be competitive. They did this superbly, adjusting their approach with precision fast passing, anticipating and avoiding contact with subtle touches of the ball. This is what impressed me the most and I was thoroughly delighted with their mental approach throughout the game. Despite conceding a late goal, a draw would have been a fair result. However, I see fantastic development in the team, and we very much look forward to our next challenge.

The team played fantastic football until the final few minutes of the game. We were slightly disappointed to lose a 2-0 lead, however there were many positives in the game. James and Shiven created a super defensive partnership, Daniel M was very composed in midfield and Isa, Ibrahim, Max and Daniel A were extremely energetic and willing to dribble in a positive way. Despite not playing together as a team before, the boys certainly performed well and added to their experience of competitive football.
