The Computing curriculum at LBHS goes far beyond learning to code and the stereotypical keyboard and mouse skills. We strive to equipt our students with essential skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and logical reasoning – skills that are increasingly valuable in today's digital age.

Towards the end of last term, students from Prep 3-6 took part in an international competition called the Bebras Challenge, a series of questions designed to promote computer science and problem-solving skills among students accompanied with quite a brutal marking scheme! During the 40 minutes challenge the Computer room fell unusually quiet whilst students got to work and tackled the challenge! I was hugely impressed by the resilience and determination displayed by all students and the manner in which students approached challenging questions was admirable. Our students acheived some fantastic scores and I am already in the process of putting a team together for the Bebras Team Challenge in March.
