In the woods this week, 1J went out to learn about how the season of Winter changes. We noticed that lots of trees and plants lose their leaves but others did not! We then learnt that those trees that kept their leaves and remained green were called, 'evergreens' and that trees that lose their leaves at the end of growing season are called, 'deciduous.' 1J then went to do their own woodland observations by recording and sketching their findings. Science in the woods....brilliant!
