4D PSHEE Lessons

At the start of a new academic year, it's particularly important for the children to feel settled and happy in their new forms, so that they are ready to learn. At Lady Barn, our PSHEE sessions provide excellent opportunities for the children to discuss their thoughts and feelings, and to really get to know each other.

This term so far in 4D PSHEE sessions, we have created a class charter where we agreed to focus on kindness and progress. The children came up with their own ideas about what they wanted their form to be like, and how we would work together this year.

We have also experienced the democratic process in the class elections for our four councillors: Eco Councillor, School Councillor, Food and Charity Councillor. In addition, we have had a 'philosophy'-style discussion about fairness, how it feels to be excluded and included, and how we celebrate our differences at Lady Barn and value our wonderful diversity.

Most recently, we have shared our thoughts about how it feels to be part of a team, and how everyone in the Lady Barn team helps us to learn. 4D love our PSHEE sessions and are enjoying getting to know each other better. We are looking forward to a great year together!
