All the children from Prep 2 to Prep 6 have been working on their knowledge of music  notation over the last couple of weeks. They have been using music notes to clap interesting rhythms and even do some maths! Everybody now has a good understanding of what all the different symbols and signs mean. 

Prep 6 have gone one step further and have been doing some chair drumming from the rhythms we have been learning. We have added interesting backing tracks and have changed the tempo, to check that we can all keep in time together. It has been loud, but fun! We hope that we haven’t disturbed too many other classes with our performances!
