News ‐ 15th Oct

On 10 October, 12 swimmers from Prep 4-6 travelled  to Macclesfield Leisure Centre to compete in the ISA Regional Swimming Competition. Over 29 schools competed on the day and the children displayed fantastic behaviour and support for one another at the poolside.

Some races were exceptionally close as the children all raced over 50m in freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke. During the event, the children in each year group accumulated points for their school. Lady Barn came first in both the Prep 4 boys' category and the Prep 6 girls' category, which is an amazing achievement. Well done to Jack, Harry, Jia and Freya for winning trophies.

The regional round also acts as the selection event for children to go on to represent the ISA North Swim Squad at the National Finals, which will be held in London at the London Aquatic Centre on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Friday 29 November. We are delighted to report that Lady Barn has gained three places on the squad, with Jack, Juliet and Freya all qualifying. We wish all three swimmers the very best of luck as they represent the North and hope they will enjoy this incredible achievement and experience.

Mrs Clay and Ms Pannell would like to thank all the children who competed for the school and cannot wait to see more fast swimming in the swimming galas arranged for later in the term.
