This term, the Prep 5 children have been exploring the human form in their art lessons, focusing on portraiture and mastering the tricky technique of using oil pastels. Through careful observation and skilful blending, they created a series of stunning, colourful portraits that truly capture expression and character.  

Following their hard work, a select group of children were carefully chosen to represent our school in the SGS Prep 5 Portrait Competition on February 13th. This prestigious event provided a fantastic opportunity for our young artists to showcase their talents, share their creativity, and gain recognition for their dedication and effort.  

The competition was an inspiring experience, and all the children who took part should be incredibly proud of their achievements. Miss Fitzsimons is delighted with their commitment and artistic growth and extends her congratulations to all involved.
