This is the hardest event of the season, where all the Independent Schools in the North West compete to win the regional qualifiers, for a place at the Nationals at St George's Park. There are some very strong large schools and were placed in a very tough group. We adapted our team shape to play over the press and attack on the counter. I was delighted with how the team adapted to the challenge and gave all they had towards the team. Overall, despite not qualifying we had delivered the best performance at this event for over three years. We were competitive in every single game and with a little more luck and decisions going our way, we could have progressed much further in the tournament. The boys learned so much on the day which will make them stronger moving forwards. Very well played boys!
