Nursery visit to Reddish Vale Farm
Back
Nursery had a fantastic time visiting Reddish Vale Farm on Tuesday! We loved learning about all the larger farm animals, including shire horses, llamas, donkeys, goats, sheep, alpacas, and cows. Some had even recently had babies, so we were lucky enough to meet some adorable calves, lambs, and kids. A highlight for many was stroking a sweet baby goat named Albert! We then had a go at feeding the grown-up animals with carrots – keeping our hands flat and still to avoid any accidental nibbles!
Later in the day, we visited the barn to see the small animals. The children were delighted to meet ducklings, chicks, and even meerkats! They especially enjoyed gently stroking the guinea pigs and rabbits, making sure to stay very still so the animals wouldn’t be frightened.
Before heading back, we had some fun in the play barn, which was the perfect way to end our visit. Then it was time to hop back on the coach and return to school.
What a busy morning we had — and what a lot of fun too!
