The Prep 5 and 6 girls' were thrown straight back into matches after the half term break with a fixture against Greenbank. The weather was sunny, and the girls were in high spirits and excited to play.

The Lady Barn girls won the toss and opted to field first. Greenbank made a series of quick rounders with some excellent hits, and there was some fantastic throwing and fielding shown by the Lady Barn team; they were unfazed and focussed, showing great collaboration and positivity.

The end of the Greenbank innings saw Lady Barn chasing 9 rounders. They made a tentative start with the bat, scoring a steady stream of half rounders and finishing the first half with a score of 7.

In the second innings of Lady Barn fielding there was some fantastic run outs and catches made. Although Greenbank continued to show some great hitting, the Lady Barn girls had found their stride. This transferred into their batting, where they found greater consistency and started to take more risks, with many of them resulting in a score.

The match was incredibly close and it was a great display of rounders from both teams. The final score resulted in Lady Barn winning by 1 rounder. Well done to all the girls!
