Our first fixture for our 'Prep 6 Cricket Week' took place at Bowdon Cricket Club against Altrincham Prep School. Conditions were perfect and we were put into bat. Each pair faced 8 ball overs and set a competitive target of 283 runs. Every player would bowl at least one over and it went down to the very last over of the game.

Altrincham's batsman held strong to defend the majority of the balls bowled at him, ensuring that our opponents won by only 2 runs. Despite not getting over the line towards victory, we had been involved in a very close encounter and those are the best games to be involved in.
