Cheadle Cricket Club was the venue for our internal cricket challenge match. The Prep 6 boys batted first and set a total of 270 to win. The Prep 5 boys battled courageously, getting as high as 240, but wickets from Angus and Josh at the end of the innings stopped the run chase and Prep 6 won by 33 runs.

Despite the result, the experience gained by all our pupils was invaluable for their cricket development. Prep 5 played their first school hard ball fixture and will be much more aware and confident for future games. The Prep 6 boys continue to improve and they will complete their cricket week with a trip to Old Trafford CC and their final game against Manchester Grammar School. Overall, it was a great occasion for all of our pupils to play hard ball cricket and one we would like to repeat, moving forwards.
