This term, our Nursery children have been heading out on exciting woodland adventures. What a magical time they've had so far!

Dressed in their special Woodland School kits and wellies, the children have been exploring the wonders of the natural world, right on our doorstep. From the moment they step onto the woodland path, there’s a real sense of adventure in the air. Colourful leaves, conkers, wiggly worms, and the occasional surprise (like a pumpkin hiding among the trees!) have all added to the excitement.

At the heart of these adventures is our outdoor classroom—a cosy clearing where the children gather to learn, play, and create. Whether they’re sharing snacks under the trees, learning how to stay safe in the woods, or simply listening to the sounds of nature, there’s something truly special about being outside.

Each session brings a new activity, from making Tree Friends using clay and forest finds, to building dens, searching for woodland creatures, or collecting natural treasures to bring back to class. The children have shown so much creativity, curiosity, and confidence in the great outdoors.

These sessions aren't just about play; they’re about discovery, imagination, and connecting with nature in a meaningful way. And judging by the muddy wellies and happy faces, our Woodland School adventures are already a firm favourite!
