Sporting Spirit at Lady Barn
Back
It’s been a fantastic and active term across the school, with children from Nursery to Prep 6 taking part in a wide range of exciting physical activities and developing their skills, confidence, and teamwork in Physical Education.
Our Nursery and Reception children have been full of energy and enthusiasm, enjoying a variety of apparatus designed to challenge their agility, balance, coordination, and movement skills. They have also been learning how to land a jump safely, practising bending their knees, using their arms for balance and extending the quality of their jumps through creativity.
Across the rest of the school, pupils have been exploring a mixture of basketball, gymnastics, handball and tag rugby. Children have been working hard to improve their techniques, decision making, game understanding, teamwork and learning how to support and encourage one another.
It’s been wonderful to see such positive attitudes towards physical activity throughout the school, from the excitement of the youngest pupils mastering new movements to the determination of the older children refining their techniques and game strategies.
Well done, everyone, for showing great effort, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship this term. We can’t wait to see what the next term brings!
