Lady Barn is delighted to share the wonderful news that Laurence (5F) achieved an impressive third place in the Year 5 Piano Solo Class at the prestigious Alderley Edge Music Festival.

The standard of competition at the festival was exceptionally high this year, with 11 talented pianists taking part in Laurence’s class, including several highly experienced performers and previous competition winners.

Competing at this level is a fantastic achievement in itself, making Laurence’s success even more impressive.

What makes this accomplishment particularly remarkable is that Laurence has only been learning his competition pieces since the end of January. Over the past few months, and especially throughout the Easter break, he has shown tremendous commitment and dedication to practising and refining his performances. His hard work, perseverance, and determination were clear to see.

In the final days of the festival, Laurence delivered some of his strongest performances, playing with confidence, musicality, and composure under pressure. His efforts were rewarded with a very well-deserved third place in one of the classes, an achievement that reflects both his talent and the hard work he has put in over recent months.

The whole school community is incredibly proud of Laurence for this fantastic accomplishment and for representing the school so brilliantly. We look forward to hearing about his future musical successes and wish him every continued success with his piano studies and performances.
