Mrs Beer is the Deputy Headmistress, Teaching & Learning, at Lady Barn House School. She has overall responsibility for the development of the curriculum and maintaining the highest standards of teaching and learning across the school.
Mrs Beer began her teaching career in Trafford, teaching a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class for three years before joining Lady Barn in September 2000. After teaching in Reception and Pre-School, she became Head of the EYFS Curriculum in 2004 and later Head of EYFS in 2005. In 2014, she became Head of the Lower Juniors and Prep 3 Form Teacher before becoming Deputy Headmistress in 2021. She continues to teach in the EYFS each week, maintaining her love of working with the school’s youngest pupils.
Having first joined Lady Barn House School as a pupil aged seven, Mrs Beer is Lady Barn through and through. Returning as a teacher has been a privilege, and she is passionate about helping every child thrive. With all three of her sons having attended the school, she believes the strong sense of family and community is what makes Lady Barn such a special place.
Passionate about Early Years education, Mrs Beer teaches Pre-School Music and is committed to creating a positive and engaging start to every child’s educational journey. She believes in nurturing creativity, confidence, teamwork and problem-solving, while providing young pupils with the skills they need to develop a lifelong love of learning.
Outside school, Mrs Beer enjoys watching football and has followed Manchester City since she was a young girl. She is also an avid reader and loves getting lost in a good book!
