Mrs A Webb - Bursar

Mrs Webb joined Lady Barn House School as Bursar in 2017 and leads the School’s finance, operations, estates, IT, compliance and development, with a keen interest in the marketing and admissions functions.

A Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant with an MBA in Leadership in Education, she has more than 14 years’ senior leadership experience in independent schools, following an earlier career in the corporate world in Finance Director and Audit roles.

Mrs Webb is currently Chair of the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association and a Board Member of the Independent Schools Council, as well as holding trustee roles within the wider education sector. She is passionate about good governance, inclusive leadership and ensuring that the school’s resources and operations support the best possible experience for every child.

Outside work, Mrs Webb enjoys travelling, cooking and entertaining, balancing this with lots of time at the gym and walking her Labradoodle.

🏊‍♀️ 🌟 THREE LADY BARN SWIMMERS ARE HEADING TO NATIONALS! 🇬🇧🏆 We’re incredibly proud to announce that Torsten (5H), Bella (5H) and Alice (4H) have qualified for the ISA National Swimming Finals! 🎉👏 Following a fantastic performance at the ISA Regional Swimming Competition at Macclesfield Leisure Centre, our three Lady Barners will be heading to the iconic London Aquatics Centre in November to compete at the national event! 🏊‍♂️🥇 All 11 of our Prep 4–6 swimmers showed fantastic determination, sportsmanship and team spirit throughout the competition, cheering one another on every step of the way. 💙💛 A huge well done to all our swimmers, and a very special congratulations to Torsten, Bella and Alice! 🌾 Harvest Festival at Lady Barn is a wonderful celebration of community, generosity and music. Our children came together for a special assembly with Dave Baguley MBE, founder of @urbanoutreachbolton, learning more about the importance of supporting others and how our contributions can make a difference to families across our local community. The assembly was made even more special by some truly amazing singing from our children - a fantastic celebration of everything that makes our school community so special. 🎶 A huge thank you to Mrs Drennan, our Music Teacher, for preparing the children and helping to bring the assembly to life, and to all our families for their incredibly generous donations. Prep 6 have been getting creative with charcoal This week, our Prep 6 artists have been experimenting with willow charcoal, discovering how its soft, powdery qualities can be used to create dramatic tones, delicate marks and expressive lines. They have taken inspiration from Japanese artist, Ruth Asawa, exploring her beautiful, intricate sculptures and the way she transformed simple lines into complex, organic forms. The children have enjoyed experimenting with line, shape, texture and negative space to create their own imaginative charcoal drawings.
